Traffic School, Fully Online

Online traffic school that your state actually certifies

Here’s the only rule that matters: a traffic school course counts only where the state’s own program certifies it. Six states certify ours by name. Pennsylvania has no approval program; a court there accepts the course with the judge’s permission. Flat prices, 4–8 hours set by each state’s law, and traffic school online start to finish — no classroom, no appointment. What the course actually does — dismissal, points off your record, or neither — is your state’s call. We’ll tell you straight.

Filed wherever the state takes our filing

We file your completion electronically in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and Texas. Texas also has you hand in the certificate, and the court checks it against our filing. In Idaho, Missouri and Pennsylvania you deliver it yourself — your course page spells out exactly how.

Arizona is the strictest clock of the seven: completion is due at least 7 days before your court date. How Arizona traffic school works, step by step.

Wondering what the course does to your ticket and record? That’s state law, not marketing. See ticket dismissal by state and ticket points by state for the honest per-state answers. Studying the course material? What counts as aggressive driving is one of its most-asked topics.

Traffic school questions, answered

Online traffic school FAQ

Is there a traffic school near me?

There doesn't need to be. What decides whether a course counts is the state that certified it, not how close the school is to you — so a certified online course works the same from your kitchen table as a classroom two towns over. Pick the state where you got the ticket and the course on that page is the one your court or state agency accepts.

Can I take traffic school online?

Yes, in all seven states we serve. Every course we sell is fully online. It is self-paced, works on any device, and saves your progress. Check one thing before you buy anywhere. The school must be certified in the state where you got the ticket. Pennsylvania is the exception, because it has no approval program. There, ask your judge for permission first.

Is online traffic school legitimate?

Yes, where the state's own program recognizes it. That is the test that matters. Six of our seven courses are certified by name. Arizona is certified by the Supreme Court's program. Texas is licensed by TDLR, and Florida is approved by FLHSMV. Pennsylvania has no approval program for online traffic school. There, a court accepts the course with the judge's permission. "Legit" is not something a website can claim on its own. It comes from the state approval behind it. Each state page shows you where to check ours.

Will my court actually accept an online course?

In six of our states, the state's program approves our online course. We file your completion electronically in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and Texas. Texas also has you hand in the certificate, and the court checks it against our filing. In Idaho and Missouri, you send in the certificate or completion form yourself. Each course page shows exactly how. A court will not take a course from a school that is not certified in that state. Pennsylvania has no state program, so ask your judge for permission before you enroll.

Do I have to take a final exam?

It varies by state program. Texas's course has no final exam at all. Idaho and Missouri run open-book finals with unlimited free retakes. Where a state does require an exam, our courses build you up to it with short section quizzes first. Each state page states its course's exact format before you pay.

Can I take traffic school on my phone?

Yes — every course is mobile-friendly and works on any device with a browser. Progress saves automatically. Do a unit on your phone at lunch, then finish on a laptop at night.

What if I'm not eligible for my state's program?

Eligibility is the gate everywhere. Violation type, how recently you've used the program, and CDL status all matter — and the rules differ by state. Check your state's eligibility page before paying, ours or anyone's. Not sure? Email support@highwaytrafficschool.com and a real person will look at your citation with you. Or text or call 1-888-406-1726, Mon–Sat, 7am–7pm PT.
