    In Florida, Arizona, Michigan and Texas, we file your completion with the state or court. Texas also has you turn in the certificate, and the court checks it against our filing. In Idaho, Missouri and Pennsylvania, you deliver it yourself. Your state's page has the exact steps.

Is Highway Traffic School state-approved?

Yes. Highway Traffic School opened in 2014. Six states approve our courses: Florida, Texas, Arizona, Missouri, Michigan and Idaho. Pennsylvania has no approval program for online traffic school. There, a court accepts our course when the judge gives permission. More than 116,000 students have finished our courses.

How long does an online traffic school course take?

Course length is set by each state — most courses run between 4 and 8 hours. Every course is fully self-paced: start and stop whenever you like, and your progress saves automatically. Check your state's page for your exact course length.

Can I take the course on my phone?

Yes. Every course works on your phone, tablet, or computer — no app required. Start on one device and pick up right where you left off on another.

How does my certificate get to my court or the state?

It depends on your state. In Florida, Arizona, Michigan and Texas, we file your completion electronically. Texas also has you hand in your certificate. The court then checks it against the record we filed. In Idaho, Missouri and Pennsylvania, you send in the certificate yourself. Your state's page has the exact steps.

Will this course dismiss my ticket or keep points off my license?

It depends on your state and your ticket. In Arizona and Texas, an eligible ticket can be dismissed. In Florida, Michigan and Missouri, the points stay off your record. Idaho removes 3 points. Pennsylvania has no course that dismisses tickets or removes points. Your state's page spells out what applies to you.

When do I get my certificate?

The same day you finish. As soon as you complete your course, your certificate of completion is available to download as a PDF. If your state has extra delivery or filing steps, your course spells them out.

How much does the course cost?
