Our Class E Knowledge Exam is the official Florida DHSMV written exam that you need to take for your Learner’s License. The exam is a total of 50 multiple choice questions. You must score at least 80% to pass the exam and are allowed 60 minutes to complete the exam per Florida rules.
It is highly recommended that you complete the Florida TLSAE course (which we also offer, and you are required to take as well), study your Florida Driving Handbook, and take advantage of our FREE practice exam questions to prepare for your exam. You can double the number of practice exam questions for a small additional fee.
Once you have registered for your exam, you will have one attempt to pass the exam. If you can’t pass the exam on your first attempt, you will have two more tries to take the test, but an additional fee will apply for each attempt.
If you are still unable to pass the exam after your 3rd attempt, you must take the Class E Knowledge Exam in person at an approved Florida DHSMV location.
Once you have passed the exam, we will notify the Florida DHSMV of your passing score electronically. We will also give you instructions on how to get your Learner’s License.
