Are You Eligible?
requirements to attend Florida Basic Driver Improvement Course
  • You may attend defensive driving only once every 12 months.
  • You must not hold a commercial driver's license or be driving a vehicle requiring a commercial license.
  • You must elect to attend traffic school within 30 days from the date you received the citation and prior to attending a class.
  • You must inform the Clerk of Court in the county where you received the citation that you want to go to traffic school.
  • You must pay an election fee to the Clerk of Court in the county where you received the citation.
