    • Is your course approved by all courts in Arizona?

      Yes! Since we are certified and licensed by the Arizona Supreme Court, this course is approved by all jurisdictions in Arizona.

    • Can I get an extension to complete traffic school?

      Most courts will grant an extension to complete traffic school if the request is made before the due date. You will need to write, call, or go to the Clerk of the Court to request an extension. If your court date has past, you made need to make an appearance and speak with a judge to request your extension.

      Remember, the Arizona Supreme Court requires that you complete Arizona Defensive Driving course at least 7 days before your court date.

    • If I get stuck, can I get help from a family member or friend?

The Arizona Supreme Court regulations, as well as the Terms of Use that you must agree to upon registration, require that you, the person who received the ticket, complete all course material and the final exam without the assistance of any other person.     • What happens if I lose my internet connection while taking the course?

      Nothing! Our system keeps track of your progress and saves it to the server. So even if you lose your internet connection, you can continue right where you left off.

    • How often can I take a Defensive Driving course?

      The Arizona Supreme Court regulates how often a person can attend Defensive Driving to have the violation removed from their driver’s license record. You can attend a Defensive Driving course only once every 12 months, which is calculated from the date of violation to date of violation.

    • I have a commercial driver’s license; can I take the Defensive Driving course?

      No. If you hold a commercial driver's license you are not eligible for the Defensive Driving course, regardless of whether you were driving a commercial vehicle or your personal vehicle at the time of the violation. In addition, those driving a commercial vehicle requiring a commercial driver's license are also not eligible.

    • How do I begin the Defensive Driving course?

      It takes just a few minutes to register for our online traffic school. Before you register for online traffic school, ensure that you are eligible to attend an Arizona Defensive Driving course through your court.

      The State of Arizona requires that we verify your identity and eligibility before allowing you access to the course. Once you are registered, upload, email, fax, or mail a copy of your government-issued driver’s license or identification card and a copy of the original citation or court document to our office. Once we verify your documents, we will grant you access to our easy, self-paced course.

    • How soon can I start taking the Defensive Driving course?

      The State of Arizona requires that we verify your identity and eligibility before allowing you access to the course. Once you are registered, email, fax, or mail a copy of your government-issued driver’s license or identification card and a copy of the original citation or court document to our office. Once we verify your documents, we will grant you access to our easy, self-paced course. This usually occurs within 12 hours.

    • How long does it take to complete the Defensive Driving course?

      The Arizona Defensive Driving Course will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

      Don’t forget, you can start and stop as often as you like. Our system will remember where you left off, so you can take the course at your leisure. There is no need to complete the course all at once, unless you want to.

    • Do I have to complete the Defensive Driving course in one day?

      No. Highway Traffic School has designed the course so that you can start and stop whenever you choose. There are no limits as to how many times you can log in and out of the website, so you can set your own pace.

    • My court date is tomorrow; can I still take the Defensive Driving course?

      No! The Arizona Supreme Court requires that you complete the Defensive Driving course at least 7 days before your court date.
